What are the Signs/Symptoms of PTSD?
There are many different signs and symptoms that occur with PTSD. Not all people will show the same symptoms, however many people with PTSD exhibit the following:
- Nightmares
- Flashbacks
- Intense emotional responses
- Physical responses to memories surrounding the traumatic event
- Dissociative reactions
- Avoidance of things that involve the initial trauma
- General pessimism

Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD) is difficult to live with and it often pushes people into a downward spiral that includes unemployment, homelessness, depression, addiction, and even suicide. The VA has called it an epidemic that may kill more soldiers than combat.
